Hello everyone,
I hope you´re all doing well in this crazy times.
Introduction
After watching a course by Emiel Sleegers about creating interior of metro i decided that i want to create a portfolio piece. Since publishing a piece that was created by following a tutorial is a big NO NO, i chose a tram in my city Skoda 30T ForCityPlus. Tools of trade will be Blender for modeling and unwrap, Marmoset Toolbag for baking, Substance Painter and Designer for texturing, UE5 for realistic interior and maybe UE4 for modular one.
There are two versions i want to create:
- Interior that will be used for "virtual" presentation as if it was done for manufacturer. I will try to catch every detail.
- A modular version of the interior to be used as a game environment. Since the tram has very little repeating pieces, this will be a good challenge.
Reference
I started to gather all the references possible online. Next step will be to shoot a reference images myself.
The tram consists of three modules.
- Main module front and back with drivers workplace
- Module with seats, without door
- Small middle module with door
Blockout
I started with a cube which i scaled to real height of the tram. Then i imported image as background and scaled to fit the height of the cube. I borrowed a scale reference mesh of human from Emiels tutorial. Since i could get only outside dimensions, all interior dimensions are based on estimation.
1. Main module blockout
2. Module with seats blockout
Stay tuned for updates :)
